Meet the Sabio Group Board

The Board are in place to support Sabio Group’s ongoing expansion strategy. Since Horizon Capitals initial investment in the company Sabio Group has performed strongly, growing organically and also through major acquisitions. Sabio Group’s experienced board will allow the company to accelerate its global development as it focuses on delivering transformational customer experience technology and managed service solutions.

Lee Shorten

Chairman

Lee Shorten joined Sabio Group’s board in 2014 as Non-Executive Chairman, and before that was Avaya’s Managing Director responsible for Sales & Channel Strategy, Key Customer Relationships, Technical Operations, Delivery, Support, Sales operations and Finance.

Andy Roberts

Vice-Chairman

Andy Roberts joined Sabio in 2001 and became a board member in 2003. Appointed as Sabio Group CEO in June 2016, Andy headed the growth strategy that resulted in Sabio Group doubling its size. He was appointed as Vice-Chairman in December 2019 and is responsible for driving Sabio’s non-organic growth activity through mergers and acquisitions.

Jonathan Gale

Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan Gale joined Sabio Group in December 2019 as Group CEO. He brings over 30 years’ experience in building technology businesses to Sabio, most recently as CEO of cloud contact centre vendor NewVoiceMedia which he grew tenfold before its sale to Vonage in 2018. Earlier Jonathan served in a number of senior Sales and Product Management roles for organisations such as Symantec Cloud Services and Mimecast, the cybersecurity provider.

Troels Henriksen

Chief Financial Officer

Troels Henriksen joined Sabio Group in January 2018 as Group CFO, bringing over 25 years’ senior financial management experience, including as Chief Financial Officer at UK managed services provider and cloud integrator Adapt. With a proven track record of success in building and shaping operational organisations to accelerate global reach and revenues Troels has been key in the ongoing Sabio Group expansion strategy.

Simon Hitchcock

Co-Managing Partner - Horizon

As founder and Managing Partner of Horizon, Simon has the responsibility for the strategy and management of the firm. Simon began his career in the Corporate Finance team at PwC. Now with 20 years investing experience Simon works with businesses such as Sabio Group.
